Almost 16,000 drones took to the skies in Liuyang, China, breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest drone show to date.
The firework show was watched by millions of people
in person and virtually, as 15,947 drones created stunning visuals.
Known
as the fireworks capital of China, CGTN reported that Liuyang
City set two Guinness World Records for the simultaneous launch
of 15,947 drones from a single computer and another record for
the most drones carrying fireworks simultaneously, clocking in at 7,496
drones.
The show, themed “A Firework Belonging to Me,” saw
drones burst to life into the shape of trees as fireworks
rained from the sky.
