Energy company Empresas Publicas De Medellin ESP required an AV upgrade to its network operations centre (NOC), using an Extron Quantum Ultra processor to drive its mission-critical videowall.
The energy company chose an Extron system for its reliability,
encryption, and video processing capabilities, sending wide-ranging content to the 3x1 videowall
for analysis and assistance identifying line faults, flow patterns, and deviations
from each grid system’s baseline functions.
The videowall system is central
to daily operations and for fast-evolving situations that could result in outcomes
from process slowdowns to service outages.
System monitoring and operations are
also possible in the adjacent crisis room.
The Quantum Ultra processor
and the control system enable the videowall system to remain reliable and
display high-quality content for the technicians responsible for supporting Columbia’s power infrastructure.
