The Lahti Historical Museum uses Genelec sound to enhance its exhibitions.
Home to more than 45,500 historical artefacts, the Lahti Historical
Museum in Päijät-Häme, Finland, enhances its visual storytelling through the power of
sound, immersing visitors in the history of the region.
Located within
Lahti Manor, a 19th-century residence, the building was converted into a
museum in 1968 to showcase the cultural heritage of the region.
The
two-story building required a new audio system, installed by Atea, with
the goal of bringing rich audio to the space, providing a
multi-sensory approach to enhance the storytelling experience.
Across the museum’s six rooms,
Atea supplied 55 compact 4420A loudspeakers along with three 4435A in-ceiling models.
