Entries for the 2027 Inavation Awards Project and Applied Technology categories close on October 31, leaving less than two weeks for integrators, consultants, end users and manufacturers to put their best work forward. The awards offer an opportunity to gain international recognition, demonstrate expertise and strengthen reputations with clients and industry peers.
The two awards recognise different contributions to successful AV installations. Project categories celebrate the teams responsible for designing and delivering complete systems, while Applied Technology focuses on the impact of an individual manufacturer's technology and expertise.
Both offer the opportunity to turn successful installations into award-winning examples of what professional
AV can achieve, with winners announced at the Inavation Awards ceremony and dinner in Barcelona on February 2, 2027, during ISE.
Recognition for outstanding AV projects
The Project Awards are open to integrators, consultants and technology end users, with categories covering everything from corporate workplaces, education and healthcare to immersive
experiences, hospitality, live events, museums and smart buildings.
Projects completed between October 1, 2025 and October 1, 2026 are eligible.
For 2027, a new Open category means that unusual or emerging applications of AV need not miss out. Projects that don't fit neatly into an existing category can be submitted for
consideration, with the possibility of new categories being created if the entries warrant it.
Entrants can also request consideration for the Smart Building Award alongside their chosen Project category, providing a second opportunity for recognition from a single submission. Additional information about integration with wider building technologies is required.
And for
teams planning to attend the awards in Barcelona, entering effectively costs nothing extra. The £100 Project Award entry fee can be fully redeemed against tickets for the ceremony and dinner. Submit two projects and receive £200 in ticket discounts.
Manufacturers can showcase their contribution
The Applied Technology Award gives manufacturers
the opportunity to demonstrate how their technology has made a significant contribution to a successful installation.
Judges will consider not only the impact of the technology itself, but also the manufacturer's role in bringing the project to life through technical support, guidance and hands-on installation expertise.
Crucially, the same installation can
be entered into a Project category by an integrator or consultant and into Applied Technology by a manufacturer, giving both parties the chance to secure recognition for their respective contributions.
The entry fee for Applied Technology is £370.
What makes a winning entry?
The judges are looking for more than impressive
installations and long equipment lists. Whilst they are important, strong entries tell the complete story of a project, from the original client brief and system design to the technical challenges overcome and the results delivered.
Clear technical information, compelling photography, client testimonials and evidence of the installation's impact can all
help an entry stand out.
With less than two weeks remaining until the deadline, now is the time to gather that evidence and put forward the projects and technologies that demonstrate the industry's capabilities.
Entries for both categories close on October 31, 2026.
