Lightware has supported Hungary’s first LED cinema in Budapest, combining HeyLED display technology with Lightware’s AV systems.
Avian Solutions, the strategic systems integration partner of the Kultik cinema chain, contributed to the development of
the Kultik Telekom HeyLED VIP cinema in Budapest, strengthening the cinema’s market position.
They HeyLED DCI LED display features
a 9x4.5 metre viewable area certified for cinema use, installed in the cinema’s auditorium two of Kultik Csepel.
This multifunctional space accommodates 150 viewers and supports both 2D and 3D screenings as well as alternative content,
including gaming events.
The display comprises 81 panels with custom optical lenses to protect against external impact, with a
resolution of 2K (2048x1080 pixels).
Lightware’s MMX2-4x3-H20 HDMI 2.0 matrix switcher was deployed to handle high-bandwidth signals up
to 4K60 4:4:4, including HDCP 2.2 compliance and EDID management.
The matrix switcher ensures seamless compatibility between various
sources and the DCI-certified HeyLED display.
The Lightware system also enables a dedicated “gamer port” linking the matrix switcher
and controller directly to the LED display and Dolby CP950 cinema audio processor for integration of multiple signal sources.
