AV integrator EMS Le Mans has deployed an eight-zone Optimal Audio and Audio-Technica sound system at Revellata, a 700 sq m bar and restaurant in Laval, western France.
Created by restaurateur Rodolphe Laferrerie following his previous Liberta venue in Le Mans, Revellata draws on Italian and Corsican influences and incorporates a central bar and outdoor terraces.
EMS Le Mans was tasked with providing consistent audio throughout the
venue while ensuring that day-to-day operation remained straightforward enough for restaurant staff without specialist AV training.

An Optimal Audio Zone 8 controller sits at the centre of the installation, providing management of the venue’s eight audio zones. Four SmartAmp 30
amplifiers power a total of 36 Cuboid loudspeakers distributed throughout the restaurant.
A single Optimal Audio Sub 10 has also been installed discreetly beneath the stage to provide low-frequency reinforcement for live music performances.

Corentin Deleplancque of EMS Le Mans said:
“The solution combining Optimal Audio and Audio-Technica was perfect for my client's needs.”
He said previous experience with Optimal Audio’s smaller zone controller led him to specify the Zone 8 for Revellata.
“OA is the first brand I discovered that
offers a zone controller with a web interface. I had already installed a 4-zone matrix on another smaller project, and immediately thought of the Zone 8 for the bigger space at Revellata.”

Audio-Technica’s 3000 Series Digital wireless system provides the
venue’s microphone solution. The system is configured using Audio-Technica Wireless Manager software, with ease of operation again a priority for the installation.
“The advantage of the solution we chose is its versatility, which allowed us to expand, modify or add
elements that were not initially planned,” said Deleplancque. “As for the wireless microphone solution, the 3000 Series Digital system sounds great and has proved very easy to configure in a way that restaurant staff with no special training can use without
issue.”

The installation was designed to support both everyday background audio and live events while allowing levels and source selection to be managed independently across different parts of the restaurant.
Deleplancque said: “Beyond technical performance, this installation directly contributes to
the customer experience, by helping to create an immersive atmosphere, seamless musical evenings and impeccable sound quality in every area. For hospitality professionals, it is proof that a well-designed sound system can become a true strategic asset to enhance their establishment.”
