PanelWise has officially launched as a new UK service designed to help schools manage the cost, risk and disruption of classroom screen failure once manufacturer warranty ends.
Ali Hayward has been appointed MD of the business, bringing more than 25 years of leadership experience across the global education technology sector.
All
interactive classroom displays are supplied with at least a five-year manufacturer warranty. After that point, responsibility for faults and repair costs sits fully with the
school. With an estimated 450,000+ classroom screens installed across the UK, many are now moving beyond that initial warranty period, creating a growing and often
unplanned financial pressure for schools.
At the same time, schools are under increasing pressure to manage budgets more predictably, extend the life of existing assets,
and align technology decisions with wider sustainability and strategic planning priorities. In many cases, this is driving a shift away from fixed replacement cycles towards longer lifecycle
management, where schools look to extend the usable life of technology rather than replace it at the first point of failure.
PanelWise offers schools a
fixed-cost way to extend support for existing classroom screens, helping to reduce the risk of sudden replacement spend and bring greater predictability to technology budgets.
Designed to work across mixed estates and multiple brands, PanelWise provides a structured support model that includes rapid triage, engineered swap-out, and lifecycle-based planning for
device management.
PanelWise is supported operationally by Equinox Maintenance, a UK-based service organisation with over 40 years of experience in engineering, repair, refurbishment and lifecycle management.
