Spark 2027 expands at Fira Montjuïc with immersive technology programme
Spark will return to Barcelona on February 3 – 4, 2027 with a larger exhibition footprint, two content stages and a series of immersive technology experiences.

The creative technology event, launched alongside Integrated Systems Europe in 2026, is moving to Hall 8 at Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue for its second edition.

More than 2,500 sq m of exhibition space will be available, with the programme built around the theme The Art of And
, examining how different creative disciplines, technologies and production approaches are converging.

Spark’s inaugural edition attracted 2,086 visitors from 79 countries and 1,400 companies, with organisers reporting that 39% of attendees held senior decision-making roles.

Mike Blackman, managing director of Integrated Systems Events, said: “Spark is all about the magic
that happens when you bring people with big creative ambitions together with the technology that can make those ideas possible.

“For some time we’ve known that content creators and technologists want to be in the same room and year one proved that for us. Year two is about giving
them more room to build together, and with ISE running alongside, visitors can take what they discover at Spark straight to the people and expertise that can help make it real.”

Content will be split across two stages. The paid-for Spark Arena will focus on wider trends shaping creativity, content
and technology, while the free-to-attend Spark Forum will offer practical sessions examining how creative disciplines share tools, talent and ideas.

Confirmed speakers include Simon Lachance, technical director at Cirque du Soleil; lighting designer Tim Routledge; Megan Wastell, expert advisor, UK City of Culture 2029 at the Department for Culture,
Media and Sport; Giuseppe Celestino, creative partner at Runway and master lecturer at Labasad; Manuel Gómez Zotano, director of systems & innovation at RTVE; and Anna Diaz Ortuño, co-founder and creative director of Hamill Industries.

Immersive installations will also form a significant part of the show floor.

Lab of Tomorrow,
the entertainment innovation initiative from Tomorrowland, will return for a second year, bringing together technology developers and creative specialists to test concepts and develop new partnerships.

Sol Garden will combine projection, sound and visual storytelling in an immersive art installation exploring natural systems. Artdott is participating as Immersive Art
& Cultural Experiences Partner, with Reuko as featured artist and creative lead. Barco, Ross Video and Intorno Labs are contributing technology to the project.

The Immersive Pavilion will focus on XR experimentation and education, with Immensiva and Espronceda set to present XR world premieres.

Spark will also include a Creator’s
Lounge and dedicated working areas intended to encourage collaboration between creative and technology professionals.

A single Spark or ISE badge will provide access to the Spark, ISE and EdTech Congress exhibition spaces and their free-to-attend content. Shuttle buses will run between Fira Montjuïc and Fira Gran Via during the two-day event.
