APG launched its iX series at the show, a line of fixed installation speakers based on a coaxial concept.
The iX range is characterised by a combination of drivers and a non-diffraction acoustic baffling that allow point source directivity.
Some iX models incorporate coaxial devices, with five new models available in the iX range: the iX5, the iX6, iX8, iX12 and iX15 models of two way acoustic speakers loaded in bass-reflex for low-frequency extension.
APG also launched two models of pseudo-coaxial speakers, the iX2.5 and iX2.6, designed for vocal applications.
The iX range creates a non-diffraction linear acoustic response, featuring ‘smart’ accessories for ‘discrete’ installation with customisable colours and a weatherproof finish.
The iX5 is a two-way full range and passive loudspeaker fitted with a five-in long excursion LF driver and a coaxial dome tweeter with 120 degrees conical dispersion.
The iX6 is fitted with a 6.5-in driver loaded in a bass-reflex, with HF handled by a coaxial dome tweeter (105-in) conical acoustic opening up to 20 KHz.
The iX8 includes a coaxial device with an eight-in cone driver and independent HF compression driver, featuring acoustic dispersion with a homogeneous dispersion coverage of 110 degrees.
The iX12 two-way, full-range loudspeaker is fitted with a coaxial coupling of 12 degrees and a one-in filtered HF compression driver.
The non-diffraction baffling is designed to create a conical dispersion of 100 degrees and a minimal feedback effect of 4dB.
The iX15 two-way full range speaker is fitted with 15-in neodymium driver and a forced thermal ventilation system and a 1.4-in neodymium HF compression driver, creating sound pressure capacity down to 60Hz and up to 19KHz.
All models of iX speakers are compatible with APG’s SB subwoofers, with standard processor settings of APG electronics included with customised settings for brands such as Powersoft.
Customisable colours and a weatherproof finish are also available alongside a range of accessories.
