Crestron claims to have redesigned its DigitalMedia Room Controller for easier installation. The DM-RMC-100-1 includes the same connectivity as its predecessor.
However, the new model has connectors are located on the side rather than the rear of the receiver.
Crestron says the new design allows more flexibility for cable runs and mounting location during installation. Moving the connectors to the side is said to relieve cable strain and makes the LAN port more accessible. It allows the RMC to be mounted on any flat surface without cutting out the wall. The DM-RMC-100-1 is much more flexible than its predecessor.
The DM-RMC-100-1 provides a one-box interface solution to support a single display device as part of a complete DigitalMedia system. It functions as a DM CAT receiver and control interface, providing a single HDMIT output along with a variety of control ports. Its compact, low-profile design allows the DM-RMC-100-1 to be installed behind a flat panel display or above a ceiling mounted projector.
