Disguise has unveiled its HDR content supporting media server, the vx4.
The vx 4, first shown at ISE 2019, is optimised for playing up to four times uncompressed 4K60 using its NVME RAID drive array.
The media server can play lossless 10-bit video and can also capture either 16 3G-SDI sources or four 4K sources (2160p60).
The vx 4 also supports HDR content and can apply colour profiles, as well as permit users to set a colour profile to content or capture images, with Disguise handling the conversion.
The media server features dual 25GbE and dual 10GbE ports, as well as cross-braced chassis and isolated core components.
The new chassis design features a hi-res OLED front panel for system information.
The vx 4 also offers users a choice of content quality using industry codecs, from compressed content to uncompressed image sequences (TGA, TIFF and DPX).
The vx 4 also features Disguise’s VFC technology, allowing users to output DisplayPort, DVI, SDI or HDMI without changing the system, as well as mixing signal formats and resolution types in the same project. The server also includes HDMI 2.0 VFC cards.
