Mackie has launched an update to the Master Fader application for the DL 1608 and DL 806 digital live sound mixers.
Among the features of Master Fader v1.4 for iPad are a selection of channel plug-ins and an improved snapshot operation. The compressor and gate provide a fast attack, non-linear attack/release and program dependent release. The vintage EQ captures the unique interactions between the shelving bands and the gain and frequency-dependent Q instruments. Users of DL series mixers who have snapped an iPad photo of the band or have chosen an icon to use as the channel ID can now sync these images between all wireless devices connected to the mixer. Also, shows will now load in the background, keeping all wireless devices online when a show is changed.
