Matrox introduces D-Series videowall graphics cards

Matrox has unveiled its D-Series single-slot graphics cards for videowalls, designed to power videowalls in commercial and 24/7 usage environments.

The D-Series cards are capable of driving up to four 4Kp60 displays and can be combined to output up to 16x4K monitors for ‘high-density’ videowalls in a variety of applications. 

The graphics cards harness a custom-built Nvidia Quadro embedded GPU, allowing for video playback and graphics performance on up to four high-resolution HDMI or DisplayPort displays. 

Up to four D-Series cards can be combined via board-to-board framelock cables to drive up to 16 synchronised 4K displays, with the D-Series also offering HDCP support for playback of protected audio and video content as well as Microsoft Direct X 12, OpenGL 4.5 and OpenCL 1.2 support.  

The cards are compatible with Matrox’s videowall portfolio, with the D-Series cards able to paired with Matrox Mura IPX capture and IP encode/decode cards for multi-channel 4K and full HD capture, streaming and recording support. 

The cards can also be combined with Matrox QuadHead2Go multi-monitor controllers for 64 1920x1080p60 displays from one system. 

The D-Series includes the Matrox PowerDesk desktop management software, with users able to select a variety of tools including stretched or independent desktops, clone mode, pivot, bezel management and edge overlap. 
The cards are available in both DisplayPort and HDMI SKUs.
