Netgear has launched its MS510TXM and M5510TXUP multi-gig switches, supporting speeds up to 10G with optional cloud management.
The MS510TXUP Ultra60 PoE++ model can support up to 60 watts of PoE power on each port, supporting the IEEE 802.3az PoE standard. Data and power can also be supplied over one Ethernet cable. An uninterrupted PoE feature is included to prevent power loss to the connected device in the event of a switch firmware update or switch reboot.
Both models allow each port to auto-negotiate to speeds of 100Mb, 1G, 2.5G, 5G or 10G, enabling WiFi access points, network attached storage systems, servers and IoT devices to be connected at specified speeds. Both models can achieve these speeds with CAT 5E cables.
