Gefen is shipping a new 4x4 matrix for HDMI with four outputs extended over HDBaseT technology.
Each output can be extended using a single Cat-5 cable per display up to a distance of 100 metres. Small receiver units must be located at each end point, but no additional power supplies are required thanks to the power over line capabilities of HDBaseT.
Bi-directional IR for each extended output allows back channel control of the sources from remote locations, whilst RS-232 and IP control are also available.
