NewTek has added Live Story Creator and LivePanel features with the latest version of its TriCaster Mini 4K live multicamera video production system.
The enhanced TriCaster Mini 4K offers live production capabilities including broadcast-quality, customisable virtual sets. Broadcast graphics, media playback, one touch automated control, multi-channel remote Skype video calling, integrated replay and social media integration are delivered at up to full UHD p60 resolution.
Live Story Creator allows a production to be run from a Microsoft Word document. A script built in Microsoft Word includes triggers actions when loaded into the TriCaster Mini 4K.
LivePanel introduces customisable, browser-based remote control of the TriCaster Mini 4K from anywhere on the same local area network, letting anyone including the presenter control live switching, compositing, mix/effects, media playback, audio and automation from devices including tablets, smartphones and laptops. Configurable macros are supported, allowing tasks and sequences to be executed at the push of a button.
Two channels of Skype input bring in guest contributors to participate from studios, laptops or phones with feeds presented with broadcast graphics for titles and double box effects. TriCaster Mini 4K will ship with two Spark Plus IO 4K p60 encode/decode converters, enabling IP-based, NDI-first workflows using existing inputs and outputs.
