PlayBox Neo adds new features to AirBox Neo-20 and capture suite

PlayBox Neo has added new features to its AirBox Neo-20 and capture suite, expanding the products’ functionalities in a variety of ways.

The AirBox Neo-20 can now play back transport stream and XDCAM MXF file clips while being ingested, eliminating the wait time of the ingestion process. GPU acceleration can also be used to achieve fast file decoding, with picture-in-picture digital video effects able to be created within AirBox Neo-20.

Operators are also alerted to absent or frozen video feeds via a web-based multiviewer, allowing service interruption to be checked and corrected rapidly.

Connectivity for the AirBox Neo-20 has also been expanded, with new support for the NDI input. An NDI output is also provided, supplementing the existing SDI, SRT/UDP/RTP stream and RTMPS outputs.

Capture Suite now allows for manual, scheduled and compliance ingest modes with automated input switching, allowing editing in Adobe Premiere and Grass Valley Edius Workgroup 9+ to be performed while ingesting.

MXF and TS files that are being ingested are also available for immediate playout via AirBox Neo-20 automation without waiting for the ingest process to be completed.

A web-based multiviewer has also been introduced with black and freeze frame alarms included alongside loudness audio meters for audio level adjustment.
