Polymedia eases data sharing with Flipbox update

Polymedia says it is easier to share content from laptops with the launch of update 1.2.0 for its Flipbox collaboration display.

The update also improves third-party software compatibility and has addded FlipboxAgent, an application that finds all Flipbox units in a local network without the need for IP addresses.

Laptop screens can be shared through the app but the the IP option is still available and both options are compatible with Windows 8.

Developers have added a backup recovery system and a mechanism to protect the hardrive. The update also allows the use of Jabra Speak microphone for videoconferencing.
