Sony has announced a free firmware update, bringing 21:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio support.
The update will be available for Sony’s existing line-up of mid-range, interchangeable lens projectors, the VPL-FHZ85 and VPL-FHZ80, as well as Sony’s fixed lens projector series, the VPL-PHZ61 and VPL-PHZ51.
The 21:9 ultrawide full HD aspect ratio at 2,560 x 1,080 input signal is supported for use in video collaboration applications.
The update is available for the VPL-FHZ85 and VPL-FHZ80 interchangeable lens projectors and will be available for the VPL-PHZ61 and VPL-PHZ51 fixed lens projectors.
