Sony updates D-series with four new projectors

Sony Professional Solutions Europe has replaced its current D-series desktop projectors with four models.

The VPL-DX221, VPL-DX241, VPL-DX271 and VPL-DW241 have higher brightness, better contrast ratio and longer lamp life than predecessors. 

Sony is targeting small to medium sized meeting rooms and classrooms with the projectors that include BrightEra technology and Vivid Mode.

The models feature auto start when an HDMI or VGA signal is detected, quick power off and an on-screen timer to make sure all participants are kept on track.  

The VPL-DX221 has a lamp life of up to 10,000 hours, which matches other D-series models. The projectors will be available from September 2017. The VPL-DX220, VPL-DX240, VPL-DX270, VPL-DW240 will be discontinued.
