Stardraw.com has updated its Design 7.2 software with improvements to its PDF import feature and support for externally referenced files (XREFs) when importing DWG files.
The company has bolstered its PDF Import feature with improved support for AutoCAD-generated PDFs, support for Unicode symbols (e.g. Chinese characters), improved support of diverse image formats, enforcement of correct grid size and support for hatches. The PDF import feature enables import of a PDF file which creates a new project with a drawing tab for each page in the PDF. Vector PDFs are also converted into editable vector drawings in Stardraw 7.2.
Furthermore, SD7.2 supports RackTools files from Middle Atlantic Products rack design software developed by Stardraw.com and SD7.2 can now be used to edit RackTools (.S05) files.
Finally, the tool’s symbols library is continuing to grow with almost 100,000 symbols from more than 800 manufacturers.
SD7.2 was a finalist in the System Design category of the 2017 InAVation Awards.
