Vestel Visual Solutions has updated its PR series of commercial 4K UHD displays with 24/7 operation ability and an Android 9-powered system-on-chip core.
The new PR+ range covers 43-in, 50-in, 55-in and 65-in screen sizes, all boasting 700cd/m2 brightness for greater impact and viewer engagement and the ability to run 24/7 video content without screen burn. Pixel Shifting further reduces the potential risk of image sticking when static content is displayed over long periods of time.
The IPS panels offer the widest possible viewing angle at 178 degrees vertical and horizontal, a dynamic contrast ratio of 70,000:1 and 700nits brightness on full gain.
PR+ series uses quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 SoC CPU running the integrator’s open-source OS of choice, Android 9. Designed for both cloud-based managed content and offline content via USB, HDMI, OPS module or network-connected devices, the RS232/LAN control has a comprehensive command list alongside HDMI CEC control functionality. Signal Failover ensures the display shows the customer’s banner/logo or other customisable content while it searches for other signal input sources.
Practical installation features include 30-degree tilting installation, portrait or landscape modes, embedded IR and IR extender option, OPS-slot, and the ability to daisy-chain content across multiple displays. Connectivity includes 4 x HDMI, 4 x USB ports with security lock cover, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1, and support for Miracast wireless display.
Cosmetic updates over the outgoing PR-series include an ultra-narrow bezel design and slimmer case while features like the OPS-slot, detachable power lead, detachable badge, IR extender and carry handles are carried over to the new units.
