Airline seat innovation brings personal sound experiences to passengers
Safran Seats unveiled Euphony, a passenger experience system for business and first-class seats that brings passengers with a headset-free personal sound experience.

The system, due to be revealed at the Aircraft Interiors Exhibition, was developed alongside acoustic engineering
company, Devialet, bringing sound in every position of the seat for use with entertainment content provided by the
airline without headsets and cables.

Euphony uses Devialet’s patented acoustic technologies and tuning, coupled with Safran Seats
custom seat, consisting of two Devialet bespoke loudspeakers on each side of a standard sized headrest.

This
setup provides high-fidelity sound with a system that can be adjusted in real-time to the audio content and
the ambient cabin noise for a personalised listening experience that doesn’t affect other passengers on-board.

Franck Lebouchard,
CEO, Devialet, commented: “We are incredibly excited about our partnership with Safran Seats, bringing Devialet’s world-class technology
to aircraft through this unique innovation. We believe great sound should be available at every moment, whether on
the ground or in the sky, and with Safran Seats we are one step closer to that goal.”
