Amazon explores idea of augmented reality home stores
According to an article in the New York Times, one of the options online retailer Amazon is looking at exploring in the future is a home store which would use forms of augmented or virtual reality to allow people to see how furniture, ovens, fireplaces etc would look in their homes, with orders being delivered to their homes.

Amazon is also exploring the
idea of launching electronics stores, which
would have an emphasis on Amazon
devices and services such as the
company’s Echo smart home speaker
and Prime Video streaming service.

Last
week, Amazon opened its fifth physical
book store in Chicago, and it
has five more announced locations under construction.
