Amscreen, UK digital media owner, is supporting its recent expansion into Europe with a dedicated division for central and eastern areas of the continent.
Winfried Karst, an executive at out of home specialist Kinetic in Europe, will head up
the division as chief executive officer for Central and Eastern Europe. He will aim to
develop and manage network partners for Amscreen in the region.
Karst will be based in Frankfurt
and will report to Amscreen CEO Simon Sugar and also work closely with deputy chairman Tom
Goddard and European managing director of sales & marketing, Chris Forrester. The appointment follows Amscreen’s
recent announcement that a deal with BP Europe SE would see digital signage units installed in
forecourts across Germany, Poland, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Austria. Karst’s brief will be to manage local partner
relationships as well as drive new sales for Amscreen.
Karst previously acted as Kinetic’s COO
for Germany & CEO Switzerland. Between 2005 and 2009 he was involved in the establishment of Kinetic’s European Network.
