Another UK airport suffers information sign failures
Following a similar problem in August at Gatwick Airport, another major UK airport has suffered a complete blackout of its information screens. This time the fault was at Terminal 2 in Heathrow Airport, which is the UK's busiest airport. Again, like the problem at Gatwick, a temporary solution involved airport staff writing by hand flight information on whiteboards.

The incident happened on Thursday 27 September, at the time the
airport issued a message on Twitter saying; "Our flight information screens are
inactive this morning. Please use the Heathrow website or App on your
mobile phone to keep updated. Heathrow colleagues are on hand to help
you on your journey. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.”

Speaking
to the London Standard newspaper a spokeswoman for Heathrow Airport apologised for
any inconvenience caused by the problem. She said: “A connection issue temporarily
affected some of our flight information screens at Heathrow this morning. Our teams
worked quickly to resolve the issue and screens are now working as normal.
