Apart Audio has cut ties with its longstanding UK, France and Scandinavia distribution partner, Sennheiser, to expand its presence in a wider range of vertical markets.
The Belgian manufacturer of fixed installation audio products will now distribute through Audio Technica in the UK and France; Benum
in Norway and Sweden; and Kinovox in Denmark.
Apart described its cooperation with Sennhesier as successful and said that the
decision to end the distribution relationship was mutual.
The manufacturer said that Sennhesier’s focused approach toward corporate and meeting room applications
was no long in keeping with its broader vertical focus that encompassed food and hospitality, retail, education and religion and
outdoor.
In a prepared statement Apart said: “We are happy that Sennheiser has helped us to grow the Apart Audio brand
in Europe to where we are right now and sincerely want to thank them for their contribution. We always have
cooperated in an open minded and respectful way and in the same philosophy both companies respect each other’s strategical choices for
the future.”
The new distribution agreements will start on January 11, 2016. All new partners will work on an exclusive
basis and will take care of the sales and sales support, marketing and after sales service for all Apart Audio products.
