First announced in 2023, a system by Sightful called Spacetop for Windows, which developed a large, multi-screen AR display from a laptop has been adapted to work with the new generation of AI laptops.
Sightful has launched previous versions of Spacetop previously, using laptops custom-built with AI processors,
but this latest launch is a software-only solution designed to work with modern Windows laptops
and AR glasses.
The newly launched Spacetop for Windows is designed to work on
laptops with a CPU/GPU/NPU combo, which includes the latest processors from Intel, Qualcomm, and AMD.
At launch, Sightful recommends an Intel Core Ultra 7 or Ultra 9 processor from the
100 or 200 series.
Spacetop offers a 100-in virtual display for a multi-monitor or multi-window
workspace. Users can tilt and zoom controls to customise ergonomics to suit their current
environment. Users can push, slide, and rotate a workspace as needed, bringing specific apps to
the forefront when needed and dismissing them to the side to keep them in the background.
