Arts festival uses projectors to transform fountain into dancing ballerina
A 20m high ballerina projected onto a water fountain will dance at Oriental Bay in Wellington, New Zealand until March 3.

The ballerina, dancing Swan Lake’s The Dying
Swan, is part of an artwork named
Swans created for The Performance Arcade, a festival
of live art and music presented by New
Zealand electricity company Trustpower.

It was created
by local video artist Jeremy Brick who worked
with Royal NZ Ballet dancers Abigail Boyle and
Sara Garbowski. The fountain was altered so
its water jet could be used as a projection screen.
