Audiologic has partnered with background music service provider Perfect Octave to offer multi-zone, licensed music for businesses that runs directly from an audio processor.
The UK audio distributor believes it is well placed to provide the service
to its clients. Ben Spurgeon, senior application engineer at Audiologic, explained: “The unique benefit we
have here is that usually this sort of service requires dedicated streaming hardware, whereas
we can achieve this with existing Q-Sys Cores. This allows us full control of the
background music via a Q-Sys touchscreen running a custom UCI and can match it
to any styling requirements. Equally important is the fact we can easily add this to
any existing Core deployments we have out there.”
Perfect Octave’s Peter Sheppard added: “Audiologic
have the teams and resources in place to understand and deploy the benefits of licensed
music for business running on Q-Sys, so it was a natural fit for us.”
