Barco has announced has been chosen as a visualisation partner for the Belgian pavilion at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
Unveiled last week during a press conference led by Commissioner-General Pieter De Crem and Chairwoman of the BelExpo Board, H.E. Jehanne Roccas, the pavilion’s visitor journey aims to captivate audiences through a blend of technology and artistic direction.
The Belgian pavilion will feature scenography focusing on this edition’s sub-theme ‘Saving Lives’ with a human-centered narrative about enhancing humanity, a call for renewal in the face of today’s challenges and a deep reflection on our capacity to change and progress.
Following a government tender procedure, BelExpo, in collaboration with the Buildings Agency, awarded the contract to a consortium of creative and technological leaders, including Dirty Monitor, Tempora, Profirst, ShowTex, and Barco. Barco's industry-leading laser projection technology will be at the heart of the pavilion's visitor journey, creating an immersive, multisensory experience that celebrates both technology and humanity.
The construction of the Belgian pavilion is progressing, with the grand opening of Expo 2025 scheduled for April 13, 2025.
