Chinese startup Rokid has developed its Glass T1 thermal glasses to detect Covid-19 symptoms, especially high temperatures associated with the disease.
The Glass T1 thermal glasses integrates thermal infared technology as well as AI
and AR features and operates as non-contact thermal temperature monitoring equipment and is designed for
use in public spaces such as hospitals, airports, parks, stations and scenic spots.
The
Glass T1 includes a Rokid Glass display glasses, an infared module and connector which is
fitted to the glasses via the connector cable, using a built-in ‘thermal vision’ app
to detect temperature.
Once connected and set up, the thermal imaging capabilities of the display
to target faces, allowing for automatic thermal measuring.
If the measured temperature is lower
than the ‘alert temperature’, the readout will be presented on the glasses in a green
colour, however higher temperatures will be displayed in orange accompanied by an alert sound.
