Christie has announced that it has entered into a letter of intent to negotiate a binding agreement for the sale of its Pandoras Box product line, selling the range’s media servers, software and accessories.
The range, including Widget Designer and Airscan, will be sold to Daniel Schäfer, a
founder of coolux, as well as consultant Daniel Kaminski and Andre Maier.
The sale will allow
the trio, all of whom have an extensive understanding of the product line and market,
to continue to grow the Pandoras Box real-time rendering engine and control system when the
purchase agreement is finalised.
Post-sale, Christie intends to streamline and re-focus on its core strengths, focusing
on growth and innovation in its primary markets.
Michael Phipps, president and COO, Christie, commented:
“Pandoras Box users worldwide will benefit greatly from these three individuals’ ingenuity and expertise in
software and hardware design and operations. I’m pleased with our strategic decision to sell the product
line to this dedicated team.”
