UK AV distributor CIE has announced a new programme of free-to-attend AV-over-IP academies at cities across the UK. Beginning in Nottingham (which runs from 4-6 Dec 2018) the programme takes in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Bracknell, with plans to add Newcastle and Cardiff to the schedule later in 2019.
This new series of courses covers a range of IP installation practice -
video-over-IP, audio-over-IP, IP intercom, induction loops and lockdown security systems – and is designed
to appeal to AV integrators, custom installers, security installers and electricians.
Each session will
introduce key skills and relevant theory, while attendees will also get hands-on, practical experience
with products
The event in Nottingham (4-6 December 2018) runs for three days
with all courses in the academy programme running back-to-back:
4th December: Audio-over-IP System Essentials.
5th December: IP Intercom Essential.
The third day in Nottingham is split into two
parts, with the morning session covering Lockdown Security Systems and the afternoon will be
introducing the application and specification of Hearing Induction Loops.
