The HTC developer conference will be held in virtual reality due to fears surrounding the so-called ‘Coronavirus’ (Covid-19) to avoid cancellation or postponement.
The conference, titled the Virtual Vive Ecosystem Conference will take
place on 19 March 2020, hosted on the Engage education and
training-focused social VR platform.
The news was announced by Alvin Wang
Graylin, China President, HTC Vive on Twitter, confirming that virtual attendees
can ‘attend’ the event by using either a 6DoF VR or join
via a live stream.
Several other industry events have been postoponed
or cancelled, including Prol
Registration is set to close on the
17 March 2020.
The conference is set to take place at
1:30AM GMT on 19 March 2020 on the Engage VR platform.
