Ctouch has announced that it is one of the launching partners of the Formula-E bid 2021/2022, a racing class for electric cars, in hopes of bringing the race to the city of Eindhoven.
The races are set on street circuits in city centres, with Ctouch hoping that the world’s first night race of
the Formula-E race will take place in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, where Ctouch is located.
Bernard Gosselink, CFO, Ctouch said: “Continuous technological innovations
are making Eindhoven a unique city in the world. We truly feel at home here and we want to take responsibility
in putting the city promptly on the world map. That’s one of the reasons why we jumped into this adventure.
Remmelt
van der Woude, CEO, Ctouch added: “We also see this bid as a way to show both young talents and experienced entrepreneurs
that CTOUCH is an exciting company to work with and to work for.
"On top of that, our mission to minimize
our CO2 footprint perfectly matches the concept of E-racing. With our unique initiatives such as our circularity passport, our modular BRIX
concept and our plans for giving our touchscreens a second or even third life, we hope to inspire other Formula-E partners as
well.”
The bid will be ready in March 2021, with the Formula-E Holding revealing the first successful bid in June 2021.
