d&b audiotechnik has launched its certified pre-owned (CPO) program, allowing users to purchase remanufactured d&b systems and products.
The CPO program is part of d&b’s support for sustainable development goals which were adopted by UN member states in 2015
and the corporate social responsibility direction established by the European Union.
Ammon Harman, CEO, d&b audiotechnik commented: “The CPO program means
our systems are more accessible than ever before. At a time when the entire entertainment industry has been challenged, remanufacturing extends the
life of a d&b system with all the benefits of buying new.”
During the remanufacturing process, each system undergoes an exterior, mechanical
and acoustic check, with a full-system inspection to check for damage. All foam and seals are replaced, with the exterior repainted
with the original d&b top coat.
Pins, rigging, links, wheels, latches, frames and chains are inspected for damage, tested and replaced if
needed, with the product going through frequency and impedance checks in the same manner as new products.
The CPO program is currently
on offer for the J-Series large format system, with the CPO program systems featuring the same accessories, service, finance and support
included with a new system as well as a two year warranty and a five year factory warranty for all new parts.
