Disney looks to Christie to develop cinema experience
Disney and Christie will share projection technology ideas and expertise under an agreement focused on improving cinema experiences for customers.

Christie will provide The Walt Disney Studios with digital cinema technologies and professional services for
production, post-production, screening rooms and premieres.

Furthermore, Christie’s Managed Services department in North America will support
Disney’s engineering team and digital cinema facilities via its Network Operations Center (NOC) and on-site preventative
maintenance.

Disney will have early access to emerging Christie technologies and provide input into product development,
including laser projection, 4K projection, and Christie’s Integrated Media Block.

Jack Kline, president and CEO, Christie
Digital Systems USA Inc., said: “Disney continues to push the limits of technology and innovation, and
we at Christie are honoured that we have this long-term opportunity to bring our considerable technology
and service resources to bear to support Disney’s movie business.”

A combination of 2K and 4K
Christie Solaria Series DLP Cinema projectors will be delivered to Disney in 2013, beginning with Disney’s worldwide headquarters in Burbank, California.
