Open networking systems manufacturer Edgecore Networks has been announced as an adopting member of the SDVoE Alliance.
CK Ng, product line director, Edgecore Networks said: “The
SDVoE Alliance is a natural fit with Edgecore Networks’ vision
to deliver networking solutions based on open hardware and software
platforms that increase customer choice, foster innovation, lower TCO and
stimulate new business models.”
Edgecore’s ECS5520-18X switch will utilize SDVoE
technology, designed with 16 10GbE SPF + ports and two
40 GbE uplink ports to send 4K/60 video over standard
Ethernet hardware.
An optional dual hot-swappable power supply and 2+1
fan is included, alongside QoS and a strict priority schedule.
