Education, education, education’¦

Education, education, education’¦
There’s a training session for everyone at ISE 2010. The show’s two supporting associations, CEDIA and InfoComm International, have come up with a range of courses that is as broad in its required experience level as it is long in its list of topics.

On the technology side, highlights include an InfoComm session on Current Screen Placement Trends in Digital Signage
(Tuesday 2 February, 14:00–15:30) and a CEDIA one on TCP/IP for Integrators (Thursday 4 February, 09:45–12:45). CEDIA is
also hosting a full-day Home Cinema Design Workshop on the Tuesday (starts 10:30), while other tech topics covered by
InfoComm include AV Signal Management on IT Infrastructure (Wednesday 3 February, 10:00–11:30), 3D Stereoscopic Imaging (Wednesday 3 February,
12:00–13:30), and Application of IP Video for Corporate Video Deployment (Thursday 4 February, 10:00–11:30).

It’s not all about
the technology, though. In what have been challenging times for many integrators, the Associations are also emphasising best
practice in system design, after-sales, and business management generally. Highlights here include Duffy Wilbert’s InfoComm session on Using Market
Research To Expand Your AV Business (Thursday 4 February, 10:00–11:30) and Wim de Vos presenting for CEDIA on
the fundamental issue of Profit – The Reason You Are In, and Stay In, This Business (Wednesday 3 February, 14:00–17:00).
