IP video processing manufacturer Embrionix has become part of Riedel Communications, with Riedel adding Embrionix’s IP-enabled hardware and software to its portfolio of products.
Embrionix pioneered the use of small form-factor pluggable (SFP) modules for signal
processing and has been granted more than 20 patents for its developments.
Thomas Ridel, CEO, Riedel Communications commented: "Riedel is an international player, and we
can offer Embrionix all of the benefits of a comprehensive global sales and
support infrastructure. Embrionix, on the other hand, has access to unique technologies
and proprietary knowledge that will be instrumental in our quest for innovation leadership
in the field of video infrastructures."
Riedel has also gained access to Embrionix’s
workforce, comprised of a growing team of 50 engineers and experts headquartered
in Montreal, Canada, growing the Riedel Communications team to more than 700 employees.
