Epson has taken the top spot for projectors over 6,000 lumens in the EMEAR pro AV and installation market, according to Futuresource.
The market data provider said Epson had climbed 11 percentage points from
last year to take control of 26.7% of the professional displays market.
Neil
Colquhoun, executive director, professional displays, Epson Europe said the growth was down to
listening to the market and strong service and support.
“I cannot thank our
partners and customers enough for these results; we truly value every single
one of them,” he added.
The results come against a positive backdrop for
overall projector sales, revealed in Futuresource’s first quarter reports for 2018. Futuresource found
that the EMEA projector market had increased 8.4% ‘YoY’ in the first quarter
of 2018 to 518k units. Value increased 11.5% to $580 million (approximately €490 million).
