Extron brings order to law enforcement collaborative learning centre
The University of the West of England has expanded its educational offerings for law enforcement apprenticeship programs, requiring a specialised learning space across three floors of the university campus.

To meet the university’s needs for performance, efficiency and technology-enabled active learning,
GV AV came on board to specify a comprehensive Extron system.

Extron products
are used to handle AV switching and control of the facility’s PTZ cameras
and microphones, with a NAV Pro AVoIP system to enable interconnectivity across the
learning spaces.

Extron IN1608 xi switchers are also used to empower collaboration within small
groups

James Gray, design manager, Univeristy of the West of England, commented: “The
AV installation for our Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship programs is a shining example
of what can be achieved when AV designers coordinate with architects, electrical engineers,
and the contractor. A demanding undertaking at times, but the results speak for themselves.”
