Harman has increased its focus on security communication for road tunnels signing a distribution partnership agreement with Commend International.
The companies are combining Harman’s Axys Tunnel PA loudspeakers with Commend’s
communication hub and will use Comment’s worldwide distribution network to market the
integration system.
Commend will also act as distributor of Axys Tunnel products for
the EMEA region and provide training and after-sales services to local customers
with Axys Tunnel installations.
Nick Screen, director of global business development transportation
and sports venues at Harman, said: “Recently we have seen the demand
for a complete ‘microphone to loudspeaker’ solution with greater functionality and interfaces. Commend’s
software and hardware in combination with the Axys Tunnel products will provide
customers with a feature-rich solution that will simplify tunnel operations and deliver intelligibility.”
