Helicopters and projectors create giant screen in the sky for MTV
The largest ever aerial projection screen was recently created using two helicopters, three 4K projectors and a 250ft (76m) wide banner. The stunt was staged by aerial marketing specialist, Branding By Air, and Remarkable Media for MTV’s VMA 2016 performance by Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj on August 28 in New York.

The feat earned a Guinness World
Record for Branding By Air and MTV
for the Largest Aerial Projection Screen in the
History of Advertising.

One helicopter towed the
enormous banner above New York’s Hudson river
while the other, loaded with three stacked
projectors, flew alongside.

According to its creators, the
stunt was two years in the making
including extensive wind tunnel testing.
