For the 7th year running IBM has published its so-called 5-in5 list of five technology innovations that its researchers believe will become a reality in five years time. The 2013 list includes five technologies that will arise from the development of so-called cognitive computers. Machines that can make decisions based on context will, according to IBM, mean that we will be able to translate baby talk, have computers perform complex image analysis and predict which foods we will like.
