Simon Nana, sales manager for Hiddenwires & Inavate EMEA's territory manager has raised more than £4,500 by cutting off his dreadlocks to raise money for a children's charity.
Nana’s daughter, Molly, was admitted to the Evelina London Children’s Hospital and diagnosed with Paediatric Multisystem
Inflammatory Syndrome, a condition associated with Covid-19 (PIMS-TS).
The majority of children are asymptomatic or exhibit
mild symptoms from Covid-19 infection, however a small number of children have been identified who develop a
significant systemic inflammatory response. In rare cases, the body’s immune system can go into overdrive and begin
to attack the body, requiring urgent medical attention.
Nana had been growing his dreadlocks for 15
years before the chop, attracting the attention of local news media.
The current total raised for Evelina
London’s PICU ward and PIMS-TS awareness stands at £4,620.
Simon Nana said: We have raised an incredible
£4500 so far and with just £500 to go to hit our target, If you can
help at all, please head to the just giving page.”
