Innlights Displaysolutions supplies interactive 18-metre LED wall for Telekom project in Düsseldorf
Innlights Displaysolutions has installed an 18x4-metre interactive LED wall to help Telekom promote its latest campaign; 'The more you are, the cheaper it gets'.

When passers-by move in front of of the LED wall they will find all their body movements mirrored by cartoon style avatars.

The Telekom avatars are displayed with a width of around 5,000 pixels and a height of 1,000 pixels. This was made possible on an InnScreen R3 LED wall, which was installed by Innlights Displaysolutions from Wuppertal for the four-day campaign on Düsseldorf's Kö at Corneliusplatz.

In order for the movements and faces of passers-by to be reflected in the avatars in real time, two Düsseldorf-based companies DO IT! and Capture Media provided a total of three stereoscopic cameras. These were integrated into the LED wall by Innlights Displaysolutions with special brackets, manufactured using 3D printing.

Innlights took over the processed real-time image signals from Capture Media for signal processing using the Barco e2 and its proprietary InnVision SCXR video controller for the pixel-precise display of the LED wall. As a full-service technology partner, Innlights also provided the statics of the LED wall, including building applications, the layer substructure and on-site logistics with construction site closure and construction with heavy lifting equipment.

Innlights and its technicians were constantly on site for the project for four days. Since everything ran smoothly throughout the entire duration of the project, the Innlights OB van did not have to resort to the backup technology running in parallel.
