Design team Rammax has developed LED rockets for drone shows, a re-useable, smokeless alternative to conventional fireworks.
The LED ‘rockets’ are comprised of drones with on-board LEDs, firing from
launch pads to rapidly ascent into the sky at a speed of
80 miles per hour (150 kph) with the assistance of motors and guidance
fins. The drones are controlled by the Rammaxx app which allows the
flight path to be transmitted for a rapid launch.
The rockets feature an
output of 30 watts with 3,000 lumens of brightness, with a total
flight time of two minutes with full LED power. Up to five rockets
can be launched to create light displays in the sky, with slow
and quiet launch/ascent and rapid/noisy ascent options based on the noise needs of users.
