LG Display will invest nearly half a billion euros in an OLED production line that will begin mass-production in the first half of 2014.
The South Korean electronics giant revealed it would invest 706 billion won (€490 million) in statement on February 18.
According to reports in the Wall Street Journal the line - at an existing plant in Paju, South Korea – would be capable of producing 26,000 motherglass sheets a month. Six 55" panels can be made from each sheet.
